25 days out! Pre-Trip Report

At 25 days out I am just about dying with excitement so to curb my anticipation I decided to start my very first pre-trip report on these boards!

When:

October 13th - October 20th

Where:

Staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort

Who's going:

ME! (of course)

Looking fly!

Name: Allison
Age: 24
Interests: Theater, fine dining, traveling, design, and Disney....duh
Number of Previous Disney Vacations: 1 trip to Disneyland (too young to remember), and 4 trips to Disney World, the last one being with my dance team at age 13, so I'm way overdue!
Favorite Disney Movie: Tie between Little Mermaid, Mulan, and Hercules
Firsts this trip: First time staying on property, first adult trip, first time at WWOHP, first ADR, first F&WF

My adorable DH

With our somewhat terrified puppy in this picture

Name: Jon
Age: 32
Interests: Theater, cartoons of just about any kind (especially Marvel), eating just about everything, video games, and Disney
Number of Previous Disney Vacations: 1
Favorite Disney Movie: Aladdin
Firsts this trip: First time stayin on property, first adult trip, first time and Universal, first F&WF, first Hoop Dee Doo Revue, first time going on any rides (I know, weird. But his family hates rides so they only went to shows and shopping)

A little about us:

We met playing boyfriend and girlfriend in a local theater company's production of West Side Story (insert AWWWW! here) and have been pretty much inseperable ever since. We've been friends for over 8 years, dating for almost 6, and we got married September 3rd, 2011 after a 2.5 year engagement. This WDW trip will be a late honeymoon/1 year anniversary trip for us. We are also in the process of moving into our first house right now so this vacation will be much needed!

The Plan:

Friday, October 12th:
Leave from work to make the 1.5 hour drive to the Twin Cities and stay overnight at Jon's aunt's house

Saturday, October 13th:
Wake up at the crack of dawn to get to the airport
Leave Minneapolis around 7:30am
Arrive in Orlando around 11:45am
Check in at the Caribbean
Race over to Epcot for F&WF

Sunday, October 14th:
Universal Studios Islands of Adventures (for WWOHP! Heck yeah!)
Lunch at Three Broomsticks
Dinner on the City Walk (sushi, Emeril's, of Margaritaville)

Monday, October 15th:
Animal Kingdom in the AM for EMH at 8:00am
Lunch reservations at Yak & Yeti at 12:00pm
Magic Kingdom in the PM for EMH until 1:00am
Dinner reservations at Boma at 5:45pm

Tuesday, October 16th:
Universal Studios Florida
Lunch on the City Walk (sushi or Margaritaville)
Dinner reservations at Hoop Dee Doo Revue at 8:30pm

Wednesday, October 17th:
Hollywood Studios in the AM
Starring Rolls Cafe for breakfast
Epcot in the PM for F&WF and EMH until 12:00am

Thursday, October 18th:
Magic Kingdom in the AM for EMH at 8:00am
Lunch reservations at Kona Cafe at 1:15pm
Hollywood Studios in the PM
Dinner reservations at 50's Prime Time Cafe at 7:35pm

Friday, October 19th:
Leave for home at 9:30am Sad

I'm counting down the hours until we'll be in the World I can be updating a REAL trip report for you!

Sounds awesome! If you have the time and like scary stuff i'd definitely add Halloween Horror Nights to your list of things to do (Since you're going to Universal!).. It's AWESOME. I used to go every year! I was almost tempted to fly down this October just to go to HHN. Universal does the best haunted houses in the country... IMO.

Have fun! I'm excited to hear about your trip!

Hey Allie! We're doing Hollywood Studios in the AM and Epcot F&W Fest in the PM on Wednesday, 10/17 too. Maybe we can grab a quick drink and say hello in person! I'll private message you my cell in case you want to text me that day!

Sounds like the type of trip I would take. I'm sure you'll be exhausted, but at the end of the day, it's all worth it! You're going to have a blast! I'm sure a trip to WDW will be my first adult trip as well to be honest..at least one that's not going to have to do with my job.

Update!

I just could not resist temptation and I decided to buy tickets to MNSSHP for our last night! I moved our Kona reservation up to 12:05pm and our 50s prime time up to 6:55pm (hopefully they'll be able to get us in a little early crossfingers ) so that we can head back over to MK. I'm going to leave it as a total surprise for DH, I've been telling him it's a waste of money up until now (trying to convince myself that we didn't need to spend the extra $$$).

So excited! Now to secretly find costumes for us!

You will not be sorry, you're going to love it! I didn't think that we were going to be able to go next month, but now things are looking like we will have a little extra money. I think I'm going to try and get day of tickets for one of the nights that we're there!

Thank you, that's very sweet of you! muchlove

I just decided on our costumes for the party! I'll be going as Snow White:

But as a less seductive Snow White then pictured laugh and without the fishnet tights. I may pack some leggings to wear underneath if it turns out to be too short when it arrives in the mail.

For DH, I'm going to pick this up for him at Target:

He's not really that into dressing up and I figured this would be a good option because 1) We share a love for old school Super Nintendo games and 2) I can pack just a red shirt and jean shorts to wear with it so he won't get too hot.

I'm getting so excited, can't wait to surprise him with this the last morning!

12 more days until I'm in the world! DH and I keep now referring to everything in terms of Disney. I keep saying things like "2 weeks from now at this time we'll be at Animal Kingdom"!

Couple of updates on the schedule....

We changed our Thursday Kona lunch reservation to 8:30pm Sunday night after we get back from Universal and instead will be adding one more meal at F&WF. I was just browsing all the new pics on the DFB and no I won't be able to fit my entire list into 4 meals!

We changed our Thursday night 50s Prime Time reservation to 4:30pm so that (unknown to DH!) we can get over to the MNSSHP earlier!

We (again not know to DH!) added the MNSSHP to our last night

Trying to get ahead on everything at work and counting down the hours til Disney!

Cute, Troy! I love it! Wish I would have thought of getting DH a dwarf costume!

The costume came in the mail and was REALLY short so I definitely will be wearing leggings under it, if not jeans.

Thank you Allie, we looked all over that Apple purse. Amy said the same thing about her outfit, they do make them REALLY short. lol

Thinking of the Snow White/dwarf Halloween costume theme - hubby is about a foot taller than I am. I would love to put HIM in a Snow White outfit and me in a dwarf costume. But I know he would never go for it.
