5 Days!

Only 5 days until my first ever Christmas time trip to the World! I'm so excited to be crossing "see WDW decorated for Christmas" off of my bucket list. We've got an early flight out of Philadelphia on Thursday morning. If all goes smoothly, Mom, Dad, and I should be on the Magic Express by 9:50 AM and on our way to the world. We'll be staying at POFQ again (one of our favorites). Our plan is to hit the Magic Kingdom on Day 1 because they'll be filming the Christmas parade on Days 2 & 3, and from what I hear, its best to avoid MK on parade filming days. Stay tuned for a trip report when we get back!

I can't believe its almost here! Anything you guys/gals think we have to see at the parks or even the resorts?

That will be tough to do in just 4 days, but we'll give it our best shot!

Ps. Was looking for specific holiday things we need to see! wink

A must see is the Osborne lights at DHS. They turn them on around 6:00pm each night.

The decorations at the Boardwalk resorts and the Gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian are not to be missed.

Thanks, JoAnn. They are on our to do list. Quick question...do you have to be there right when they turn them on, or can you venture over anytime after 6:00 and still get a great show?

I had heard about the Gingerbread House at the GF, but thanks for the tip on the Boardwalk. We'll definitely check that one out!

Kris, include the Yacht & Beach clubs while at the boardwalk. All three have great displays around this time.

You can go after they start. The lights get turned on between 6 and 6:30 (usually closer to 6). They stay on until park closing. You also should see Cinderella's Holiday Wish at MK. That's at 6:15 in front of the castle. Epcot has Holidays Around the World. They have out the "Santa Clause/Saint Nick" for each country out telling stories. You should also try to get into Candle Light Processional at Epcot as well.

Quick question...have any of you ever used on line check in when you were traveling with someone else? I'm hesitant to use it as my folks and I would like to have rooms next to each other. Thoughts?

You can still use online check-in Kris. Call and request adjoining rooms too. All the online checking does really is that they have your information packet ready ahead of time. What are your exact worries about online check-in?
