Do you have to actually book through AAA to get it, or can you buy it somehow?

I *think* I have an answer for you. Diamond Parking is just a AAA perk; it's not something you pay for. I'm not sure how in the World they police it, but my mom was there the other day, and an attendant mentioned that's what it's for when they asked if there were any parking discounts available. (We haven't paid for parking forever, since it was always included in my AP included it, but my AP just expired, and Mom and Brother & Fam just got the FL Resident weekday passes, which don't include parking....and that is why my pass will always be an AP Laughing out loud)

I believe my sister used it a few years ago, from what i remember it wasn't a discount, it was just a preferred lot if you flashed your AAA card.

She was staying off resort at the time.

Yes! I got off on a tangent. No discount; just closer.

That is exactly how it worked when we did it a few years ago. Closer parking.
