When I tried to call the Universal dining number and make reservations for Mythos for our October 2012 trip the phone system kept me on a loop that was advertising the Grinch character breakfast (even though this was the middle of summer that I was calling) and then finally took me to a machine where I left several messages and never got called back. We didn't end up eating there because I never could figure out the reservation system!

We've always made same-day reservations at the park entrance when we arrived. Advance reservations were never necessary, at least not when we travelled in April and November.

We were able to do same day as well. Plus if you are staying onsite you get first seating priority for walk up dining.
