Earlier this year, it was rumored that Soarin' would get an update to it's Video, in the form of HD quality and a Florida themed flyover for the ride. 
Anyone hear anything lately?? I know when we were at Disney in May, I saw several planes (maybe same one repeatedly??) fly right over Magic Kingdom, and never ever remember seeing planes over Disney (Restricted Airspace?) before. Y'alls take???

There was a very strange configuration of 4 Helicopters in DHS while I was there, they sort of flew over in different directions then went and hovered in what I can only describe as 4 corners of the park..........
During a couple of CM conversations in Epcot it certainly sounded like it was going to happen and fairly soon ish but what that means in actual timescales I am not sure
As far as I know there hasn't yet been an official announcement.
The rumors I heard were that epcot would be getting the show designed for Shanghai Disney. Flights over a variety of countries ending in Florida. The same rumors also say they are looking at building the third theater. But we are still in the rumor mill.

The Park Operating Budget and the DVC Operating Budget are two different things.As far as the "rumor mill" goes - there are ALWAYS rumors going around about things that will or won't be happening at Disney. Some will happen, some won't. You've got to take it all with a grain of salt. In fact, sometimes even after Disney announces a project it can still fall through (see Hyperion Warf). The WDWFG news standard is that we don't report on them unless they have been verified by reliable, documentable sources. There are many Disney websites that do comment on them, accepting rumors as "news," and even starting rumors of their own to keep current. WDWFG does not.
