Yeah, I got that at one point last night too. Then I went back and checked again and it was working. May just have to find another source.

This is a good way to build suspense! Now I'm dying to know what it is!
I think it's a bandwidth thing, since it works then doesn't intermittently. I'll fix it soon as I can.
Okay ees feex-ed now.
Ha! Holy Leotard batman!
Recognize him?
Recognize him?
So some interesting facts:
I LOVED "Breakin'" and not only saw it in the movie theater but I watched it a bazillion times on cable. I was tremendously excited about "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo," as well. If I remember correctly they actually put a message at the end of the first movie about the upcoming sequel.
I spent a lot of time trying to learn how to breakdance, with very limited success. I didn't know about Jean Claude Van Damme's presence in the film until the rise of the Internet, however.
LOL. Glad it's not just my brother and I that have seen it a bazillion times. It does have a mention of the upcoming sequel at the end. We knew early on it was JCVD, but even before that recognized how hilarious "that guy" is.

I feel kind of bad for jumping head first into a fad. You know that some movie exec somewhere was like "The kids like this breakdancing thing, we should make a movie about it!" And I was all over it like white on rice.

True enough, but they did it right. Those are (for the most part) real people in the "[hip hop] scene", and some are legends. I think that's one of the reasons it worked so well. So many movies like that have actors trying to be something they're not. Like all those high school movies where the students are actors in their late twenties trying to act like high school students.
p.s. I never knew it was based (even loosely) on West Side Story.

That's a pretty loose basing...
I can talk about Breakin' long past the point that anyone else is interested, but the soundtrack is actually quite good. There's a song by Ollie and Jerry that's awesome. The video also pretty much encapsulates the entire plot so here ya go:
They used some great Rufus too:
Yeah, we always loved the music as well. I think the correlation made between Breakin' and WSS, specifically refers to the underlying theme - not the plot, per se. That is, the relationship of the protagonist (Ozone to Kelly).
All right, learning WAY too much about 80's breakdancing movings from this thread.
You must not have heard admin, you can never learn too much about 80's breakdancing movies!
