I've watched it a few times but was not all that impressed or into it. I don't think it was what I was expecting.

And for most of them, all I kept saying was "Wow, I would hate to live next to (or anywhere near!) those people after they are done"....every kid in the neighborhood would be there all day every day! eek

Do note that I did try to convince Joe we needed a Mickey pool and/or a pirate ship in the back yard though. I did not get the response I was hoping for.....

Thats EXACTLY what I was thinking. I watched a bit of that pirate boat at the end... and all I kept thinking about was... Dang! This is for the family! Not the neighborhood!

I also think the kids will outgrow the things way too quickly. The slide/lighthouse they made for a boy was almost too small for him already. I don't know how'll they will remove it since it was hooked to a crane and raised over the roof int the backyard.

Also, I can't imagine trying to resell my house with one of those backyards.

I haven't watched it but I was apprehensive of it because..honestly..I thought the pictures of the first house they did were a little tacky. It's gorgeous for a theme park..but for real life? I'm not so sure.

The pool I could probably live with though.

I agree. Very cute but what happens when the kids become teenagers? It won't be cool then, they will think it is too babyish.

I LOVED the "Pirates of the Carribean" backyard. That could stand the test of time if they removed the water cannons (when kids get older) but the pool is not deep enough. Maybe they could turn it into a hot tub?
