Appz "for two" on the Deluxe Dining Plan

Does anyone who has used the Deluxe Dining Plan recently know if they allow you to order two appz when one of them is titled "for two" (Like the Lettuce Cups for Two at Yak & Yeti)? I know you have to split the entrees that are for two at La Hacienda, it's been like that from the beginning. But we ordered two appz with one of them being "for two" back in 2010 (at Sci-Fi and Liberty Tree Tavern). I just wanted to find out if Disney has changed their rules because I'm obviously not obsessing enough! laugh

Well if you go "by the book" the "for two" means you have to split it and that is your app for both of you (it is equal to 2 appetizers). If they let you get the " for two" and another one, they were bending the rules, but servers do that a lot, but don't expect it every time! Yes they bent the rules for you those times.

When we ate at Raglan Road the scallops forest is an app for two and we had to share it. The same at 50's Prime Time when they had the onion rings for two. But then at Sanaa the bread service says it is for two but they said it only counted as one. So we got that and lamb kebobs. So like mrhub said it depends on the restaurant and the server. Either way it was a problem for us because there is so much food on the deluxe dining plan that we easily didn't need any extra food for the week.

I agree the Deluxe Meal Plan is a lot of food! We hit the wall sometimes. I would really like to much more around the parks, but you just can't do it. We like to have breakfast's and do signature dinners when we are on vacation.

Awww, shoot! Those scallops were one of the reasons I asked. Usually, we're just fine and dandy with sharing an app (as we all know, it's a LOT of food), but DH doesn't care for scallops and I really wanted to try them. Oh well, I'll try, if that fails I'll see if they might be able to do a half order crossfingers and if that's a no-go, I'll just try something else knowing it will be just as delicious. awesome Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it! mickey

Or you just pay out of pocket, take half back to your room and have a late night snack! The scallops from Sanna are delicious also!
