Are the Beach Club Villas Showing Too Much Wear and Tear?

My 7 month mark is about to come up for our June Vacation and as I've mentioned before I want to switch hotels. I was reading guest reviews on AllEars.net and it seems like the Beach Club Villas are getting some pretty mixed reviews. A lot of folks recently have been very disappointed in the decor, and it sounds like that they may be in bad need of room renovation.

Has anyone stayed there very recently? I would be devastated if we wound up with a sub-par room. My best friend is getting married and the Bridal Party will be using our 2 Bedroom Villa to get ready in. Her family are not Disney people and it's very important to me that everything be top notch for their Disney experience. I very much feel like they'll be coming to my home, and now I'm concerned that "home" could look cheap and worn.

So, what's the deal going on these days at the Beach Club Villas? Are they in good enough repair to host high end wedding events?

My wife and I stayed at BCV in late October of this year for 15 nights in a studio...and yes...I have asked my wife the last 2-3 years (we stay there (studio) for F&WF every year) "When are BCV due for a refurb?"...Now of course the rooms are well maintained...but yes you can notice the age of things like the couch with a hide-a-way bed, the furniture, and the carpet....with that being said they have been updated with the I-Pod alarm clocks, flat screen TV, DVD players the last coupole of years....the bathrooms are still very clean always and do not show much age...I say overall, with me being pretty picky, I would say I can live with the lack of refurb because of the location...so it's not that bad...but I wouldn't expect that "Ahhh" feeling like you may want when you walk into a hotel room...at least I do...

Keep in mind I am only refering the the studio room...and don't forget the grounds of the Beach Club are fantastic, fun , and enjoyable for all interests, IMHO---and that is where most of the time is spent for me and my wife--out side of the room...and the beds are still very comfortable for sleeping.

We stayed at BWV and kind of felt the same way. Of course I also felt the same way about my room at the GF and that had just been refurbed, so maybe I'm just picky.
