Are you going to have a White (day after) Christmas?

Apparently we are..for the first time since 1989 we are going to have snow on Sunday. So it's not exactly CHRISTMAS DAY..but it's Christmas weekend.
Crazy-ness since we rarely get snow any time of year!

So what about you? Is it snowing..going to snow?

(And JeffC remember when I saw that picture and said "haha..you won't have snow on Christmas this year.." I think the snow-gods heard me. Sorry about that!)

Dallas and white Christmases rarely go hand in hand.

Well we could get from 6" - 20" they are saying. And of course again I will be coming home from work tonight in the peak of the storm. Normal 5 minute ride will probably take 30 minutes!

Hi,

In southern New Jersey the weather people are predicting a blizzard dumping about 6-12" (150-300 mm) of snow on us.

Ha! a mere flurry my good man, a mere flurry. laugh They are predicting up to TWENTY inches for us. Wouldn't you know I have a 4WD Jeep Grand Cherokee with a large hemi motor for just such an occasion, when i went out to start it the *@%& starter is broken and won't start. It just left the house on the back of a flat bed wrecker not to be seen again for at least a few days. mad

Oh no! Sorry to hear about that, Vette! Does that mean you're officially snowed in?

No I am definitely not snowed in. I have a Pontiac that if pretty good in the snow but nowhere near as good as the four wheel drive and I have found that if you just wait 3 or 4 hours AFTER it stops snowing, the plows do their thing and that makes the roads snow covered but quite passable. The Jeep is just my choice DURING a snow storm no matter how deep.

Given the news stories I'm surprised more of you aren't buried! They cancelled MNF for Pete's sake!

I have a friend in NJ..close to NYC and she said they got close to 25 inches. She took pictures and the snow is up to her knees..and she is tall! Crazy-ness I have never seen anything like that in my entire life.
