Nice!

So, you can't select the additional from the Disney App, you must use the kiosk?

YEAH!!! Is there a source of park maps that shows where these kiosks are? If they are only at the front of each park, then that can mean a haul to go back to get one, only to find there are none.. Will MDE also be able to use this at the park?

Nice and am happy for people who have picked their FP+ for early in the morning...me I didn't do mine for early in the day they are all spread out. So am sure by the time I have used my 3rd one their won't be any available. sad
But still this is good to know for people who can book their FP+ for early in the day. Thanks for the update.

Doesn't look like you can use MDE for the additional.

And the new maps show you the various locations throughout each park - they aren't just at the front.

We used the FP kiosks at each of the parks during our last visit in early March and had no problems finding one. They are scattered about the parks and are on the new park maps that you grab coming in. I do find the lines are much shorter in the central or back portions of the parks (in relation to where the main entrance is located). Hope this helps!! Also, cast members are there to help you pick your FP selections. It was definitely not user friendly when we used the kiosks in early March. Hopefully they have made some changes.. Good luck!!

Yay! That was fast! I'll be interested to hear how this turns out from people with upcoming trips! It doesn't bother me at all that you can't use MDE to book the additional FP+, using the kiosk is similar to how legacy FP worked but you can book at any kiosk vs. the ride specific kiosk. My only wish (and maybe this will change) is that they would let you book the rolling FP after your 2nd FP+ is used so that you don't get penalized for booking time specific FP+ (parades, fireworks viewings, etc). I probably won't book FP+ for any of the shows anyways, but it seems like kind of a bummer for people that want to utilize those FP+ reservations.

I also wonder how tiering will work with this. Can you pick your additional FP+ from either tier?

I was wondering that too. I'm also wondering if the original three still have to be in the same park while only any additional ones can be at other parks confused

Do I understand correctly that they now will allow you to book your first three Fast Pass+ at different parks?

My understanding as I read it - you still must select your first three FP+ in a single park. Once those three are used, you can then park hop and add 1 FP+ at a time.

I agree with all of this! I don't want to give up my Fantasmic FP, but it would be nice to be able to use an additional FP earlier in the day after my first is used. Oh well, I'm still really excited about this clapping

You will have to use an in park kiosk for the additional fastpasses. You must use your three up first before you can get another one. The additional fastpass can be for anything. Say you have Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain. You use those three, you can get another fastpass. It can be for any fastpass experience depending on what's available. If you get a nighttime spectacular like Wishes or Fantasmic then you have to wait until that one is up to get more fastpasses. At MK, there are kiosks in every land but Main Street and Frontierland.

Mandy, I know you mainly work at MK, so you may not know, but do you know if tiers are still in effect for Epcot and DHS for the additional choices? Like, you can still only select one of Tier 1 for your initial three, but can you choose another tier 1 attraction for your fourth? Though based on what I've seen from current availability at those two parks day-of, there may not really be any tier 1 FPs left by that time.

Anyway, I'm kind of excited about this, but also... not? Just because if more people are using FP+, and more of them are using more than the three, it pushes the standby waits up even further. I do wish we could select one FP for the first park, and the other two (and additional ones) at the second park. It seems like it only works the other way around right now.

As of right now I'm sticking to my original plan of rope dropping, and selecting FPs for sometime in the afternoon. If this seems to work out well, we'll see if that plan changes any. And I will be going at a really low time for crowds so it may end up being GREAT for me.

Since we are going in Sept, have reservations for Wishes Dessert Buffet (husband thinks the price is worth a seat), the crowds are low and frankly, we have never had a problem getting into Fantasmic OR finding a spot for Illuminations, so we wouldn't if they are available. (some friends who just came back -AP holders- said that FP for these shows weren't even available. So that allows more FP for daytime fun.

I'm pretty sure the additional fastpasses can be for any experience no matter the tier.

ummm....did I misunderstand? I went in this morning to try to change my FP+ for a split day (morning at AK and afternoon at Epcot) and I couldn't get to select 2 FP in AK and one in Epcot...so did I misunderstand? Or am I doing something wrong?

No, I think you misunderstood - your first three FP+ must still be in a single park. After those three, you can hop and select additional FP+ only at the kiosks.

Oh neat!! Though again, who knows how many tier 1 experiences will still be available the day of, but that's still awesome.
