Back to the Disney Future?

IF you had access to a time machine and could go to ONE day in Disney history what day would it be? Past, present or future, where would you go and why??

Me:

Either opening day OR Walt Disney World's 500th birthday! Would the park still even be in operation then? How would it look or would we be visiting a purely 'virtual' Kingdom? Character costumes or fully fledge AI characters?

October 1960 in Disneyland. That was our first visit, and for a family from a small town in northwestern Ontario, it was a jaw-dropping moment. mickey

I would go back to a day during the 1964-65 New York World's Fair and ride the original It's a Small World as well as the other Disney-designed attractions at the fair. I'd love to see the Carousel of Progress again with the original 1960s final scene.

I would go back in time to sit on that park bench with Walt watching his daughter play, to the moment that he first conceived that he could do better. The moment that he started dreaming of Disneyland.

I was thinking the same, or the pitch meeting for EPCOT. I can only imagine the reactions to Walt's idea for this utopia. They must have ranged from excitement to confusion to doubt to fear.

Exactly.... I mean Magic Kingdom... very cool. A much bigger Disneyland... but were talking about a theme park that really hasn't been done before. I like your idea to of being at that meeting. There had to had been people just looking at Walt like... "Seriously....? What in the world are you thinking!"
