Bah Disneybug

idk... I thought id be with ya, but im not to be honest. Dont get me wrong... id love to be there, but it will be nice to FaceTime and watch my parents there. For me its enough of Disney to get me through till November. lol

So interesting to see two different perspectives from you guys! I'm afraid I'm with Jess on this one, though. When my parents are in WDW and I'm not, I'm always jealous.

Awww. man, I think face time from the park is just cruel! I hop that they're having a great time though!

The kids and I are headed to Disneyland in 15 days and we're starting to talk a lot about it. We have to be very careful though because my husband and our roommate were supposed to go, and now they're staying home. When we talk about it too much they get upset. Can't say I blame them.

Just depends on how ya look at it I guess. For my daughter is was like sticking a piece of cotton candy in her face and letting her know she can't eat it..... just look at it... no tasting!

For me... I just try not to get down about it and look at the positive aspects of it. Last year my Dad held his iPad 2 and FaceTimed Off Kilter. I got to watch the entire show! I was cooking at the time he started, so while I cooked, I watched Off Kilter!

So yeah... I can easily see both sides of it. I just try to not let it get to me and to at least see the positive side of it all... lol

Ok.... now it just got to me. My Dad FT'ed me on the Haunted Mansion and it was too dark to see anything....

lol.... its ok. Luckily his phone kept losing signal, so it was more like pictures... ha ha ha.... but he is gonna try later on in the day... heh

We love to look at You Tube videos of rides and footage that we recorded so I would totally love to FaceTime with someone as they were in the parks! But of course I'd be insanely jealous the whole time too!

Welp.... just got off with my parents (Couldnt believe they were actually together! They are usually separate most of the time at Disney... lol) with FT. They were walking the stretch between Epcot to Boardwalk. My Dad wanted to go to the bakery. LOL! It was a funny fact and granted they stopped to talk to me for a while, but when they started walking from Epcot, the ferry was arriving. And right when they got to the Boardwalk... the ferry was arriving. So I thought that was pretty cool and interesting. And my Mom is a slow walker. It was just absolutely beautiful outside.... but all I keep imagining is a 60 some year old man, walking around with an iPad 2, holding it up, walking... and talking to it!

Cool!

Sad thing is though hun.... for Epcot and Spaceship Earth.... that was also a renovation because they added the screens to the seats... lol

They use to not have them period!

The daily FaceTiming happened again today. They were on their way to Wilderness Lodge I believe, but cant remember where they were at? Maybe you guys can figure it out with the pics I took! lol

Now... I hate saying it. This guy was being a jerk. My Dad wanted to basically show me the ride over to Wilderness Lodge, and this Cast Member literally said... "I do not want video taped. Turn that thing off right now." I couldnt believe he said that! Now... ordinary circumstances... I can see why some people dont want taped or photographed... but this is a Cast Member working for Disney... how can they NOT get video taped or photographed. Maybe im being crazy about this... but it rubbed me the wrong way. But here is the funny thing... got the screen shot before he said anything... lol

Yeah I would call him a jerk too. he has no ground to say that anyway. He works at an place where when hired they know they may be photographed of video taped. He shouldn't work there if that's the case.

Thats what I was thinking... My Dad was shocked! The dude said something else to him because he was showing me the last two photo screens I took... because technically he was the third one I took. But whatever he said to my Dad shocked him even more....

Well... on a bright note...

Wow, can you see the cast members name tag? I'd let Disney know about how rude he was.

I cant see it from the pic I took. It almost looks like he didnt wear one... but his arm might be covering it up. I should ask my Dad.

He should be reported if they got his name.

Even if they didn't get his name, he was assigned by the computer to work a given place at a given time, so they could look up exactly who was running the boat at that time and find him.

Hmmm... your interactions with your parents has gotten me thinking. I don't think I have ever even THOUGHT to facetime with anyone when at Disneyland on numerous occasions. I guess it just never occurred to me that someone who couldn't be there would want to see me there having fun. Interesting. Now I have to figure out who to call and facetime with the next time I'm there!

I ment to report back. One thing I did get wrong was my Dad stopped the FT just because, but the guy did say he did not want to be video taped or a photo taken. I guess this happened a lot on there trip. My Dad was talking about a bus driver that was super rude as well. Still havent heard the story though.... but yeah... he said a lot of the cast members were just rude the whole week.

Oh well... 206 days left......
