Best And Worse Pizza At WDW...

Good Morning All...Today ( Thursday ) Food Blog has a article on the above...It rates Via Napoli as the best pizza on site, and I must agree, our Mezzo Metro was awesome, so fresh it was singing to me.." Just one more slice..give it to me..Delicious Pizza..From Italy.".. Anyway it rates Pizza Planet as the worse..Come to think of it, I believe we did try it on our first trip in 2004... Wasn't all that impressed..It also rates other pizza stuff like best flatbreads,etc..Worth a read if like me your a Pizza fan...I did try WPE breakfast pizza at DD...Although it was huge and full of various stuff, I thought it was just wayyyy too busy for my liking, then again, I'am not a big eater at this time in the morning...Anyway...Over to you good folk...What has been your favourite and least favourite on site...

I have to agree with the Pizza Planet being awful. - You'd think that a place with the word "pizza" in the title would do it right but they're just standard, churned out, tastless lumps.
I couldn't comment on any others as I tend not to order pizza when i'm dining out as I could eat it any day of the week.

To be honest, we don't "do pizza" when in the bubble. There are just sooooo many other yummy foods to try that we just don't. Pizza for us is frozen (we are that rural) and it's what we have when we are short on time or ambition.

It is the only pizza we have had at WDW (why have something you can get at home easily) so it had to make both lists

I don't like the Pizza Planet or Pizzafari pizza because they are same type of pizza. Pinocchio's Village Haus has good pizza.

Your lucky...The only decent pizza shop we have is a Turkish owned one and depending who you get, depends on how good your Pizza is...I ordered a Mexicano one night (mushroom, pepperoni, onions, chilli. ) When I went to pick it up it was full of Gherkins..So I said to the nice Turkish man...Where's the chilli.?...He pointed to the Gherkin..No, that is a Gherkin I said..What is a Gherkin he replied... waiting

Worst: Pretty much any CS pizza except for Wolfgang Puck Express and one that is not a flatbread. Pizzafari, Pizza Planet, the pizza they serve at value resort food courts are all the same really!
Best: Based on the consensus of fan opinions I've read, Via Napoli

We love Pizza Planet but we're easy to please silly Greasy stadium style pizza is the bomb! But I like the fancy stuff too on occasion, but I don't think I've had any other pizza at Disney besides for the Planet.

I've only had pizza at Pizza Planet while in the World. I thought it was good. Not the best pizza I've ever had but it worked for lunch when I was there in February.

The thing about pizza is that even if it's terrible pizza, it's still pizza and is certainly edible.

that said, I have little to zero interest of ever trying Pizza Planet or Pizzafari. I do want to try Via Napoli and the flatbreads at Pinocchio's Village Haus, however.

Pizza planet was just awful. I have to go with that being our biggest mistake on the last trip. It was all terrible breading with what tasted like pasta sauce on it. YUCK!

Via Napoli to me has the best pies. We've eaten there on our last two trips and look forward to it every time. Probably in my top-5 restaurants at Disney as well. If I recall, we've only ever ate another quick service style pizza once as a snack at AK and it was what to be expected from something like that. Not great, but it got the job done.

Pizzafari and Pizza Planet are basically they same aren't they? I thought they were both pretty good and the bases were really nice, its like a multigrain dough. I think the ducks at Pizzafari really enjoyed my pizza, more than I did ( I didn't see the signs not to feed them till later on).

I agree with everyone here, Via Napoli has the best Pizza hands down. I think that Pizzafari and Pizza Planet get the same frozen pizzas and just reheat them. They are not that good.

I've never eaten pizza at WDW. It's not really something we eat at home either..but I've heard Via Napoli has great pizza!

Via Napoli is Awesome, hands down great pizza, but Puck Express pizza at DTD is our actual favorite. BBQ chicken and the three cheese are our go-to choices. But our pizza experience at WDW is limited to these; based on all the reviews, we have avoided pizza in general!

I have to say, though, that MANY years ago, on our first trip to the world, we got in so very late and were so very tired (flights from west coast with connections) that we ordered delivery - to CBR. Maybe it was our extreme exhaustion, but that pizza was really, really good! laugh

I love pizza, hubby does not, aside from the stuff I make at home (from scratch, not frozen). At least, he says he likes it wink

The only pizza I've had at WDW was from Pizza Planet and Blizzard Beach. Both pretty standard stadium/amusement park pizza. They're edible. But I did Pizza Planet when I was travelling solo, and at Blizzard Beach hubby got something else. You see what's going on, right? The only way I'm getting pizza is if hubby isn't there or can order something not in the pizza family. I would love to try Via Napoli, but I think the only way it's going to happen is if I travel to WDW without hubby again because neither the pizza nor anything else on that menu will please him.

Fortunately, I do make a pretty good pizza at home, not meaning to brag or anything. silly

The sense I get is that Via Napoli, Wolfgang Puck Express and if there was a third choice, probably Splitsville are the best places for pizza in WDW. I know there are flatbreads out there but I hardly consider them to be actual pizza pies. I know Boardwalk Inn has a pizza window where you can actually get pizza by the slice there but by the looks of it from my POV, it's okay but really not that delectable. Anyway, this thread would not be complete without pictures.

Via Napoli Margherita Pizza

Wolfgang Puck Express Pizza (Looks really good. A better choice if Via Napoli is out of your budget or you don't want to wait very long.)

Splitsville Pizza (A picture of their BBQ chicken pizza.)

Boardwalk Inn Pizza Window

The standard subar CS pizza

Yummy...Me and my DS and huge pizza fans..We had a 14" Americano family one in Los Angeles years ago, which we rated 9/10... However our Mezzo Metro ( 1/2 spicy...1/2 not spicy ) was awesome..10/10...Half a metre of Yummyness...18" of heaven on a plate...
