Best Live Action Disney Films

We talked about it a little bit but I'd love to get everyone's list of favorite live action Disney films. I'm not going to try to make a full list because I'll forget some I'm just going to mention some I love:

Darby O'Gill and the Little People
Absent-Minded Professor
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

What are some other good ones?

I LOVED the original Escape to Witch Mountain...watched it all the time.

But the best Disney live action movie hands down is...

Newsies

I am addicted to the music and I have probably watched it 30 or more times. It has Christian Bale as the lead (and he does sing!) and it is GREAT!

The only negative is that their New York accents go in nad out throughout the movie!

I have to go with Mary Poppins. Love Bedknobs and Broomsticks, too, but MP takes it for me.

I'm going to deem "Newsies" a controversial pick. Meanwhile I think Mary Poppins is a great suggestion. And I would have never thought of Bedknobs and Broomsticks but I'm pretty sure I've watched that movie about 10x as many times as just about any other Disney live action movie.

If I'm being entirely objective I'd probably pick Mary Poppins or maybe Swiss Family Robinson, but if I could only watch one for the rest of my life I might very well pick Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

Darby O'Gill and the Little People is probably my favorite, but I loved the original Herbie and the Absent-minded Professor.

Why controversial? It's a good enough movie, not one I would have chosen, but Caitie does love it!

Darby O'Gill - man, that takes me back! I remember that from when Disney Channel actually showed movies anyone would want to watch, not Hannah Montana and Wizards of Harry Potter knock off all the time.

Remember the Sunday Night Disney movies? Do they still do those, or is that a thing of the past?

I haven't seen those in a long time, but I used to try to catch them every week when I was young(er).

I don't even want to try to calculate how many times I watched their Davy Crockett when I was a kid. It's historical accuracy aside, I think still think that was a fun movie.
