I've never actually gone solo to a park, but I've always thought the single-ridder line on the RnRC looks like a real winner. What are some other good single-rider lines?

We've made hour long waits go by in 10 minutes by doing it for Test Track.

I was going to say this same thing. I have heard of people going through the single rider line & ending up riding together anyway.
I think that used to be pretty common, but I think Disney is kind of trying to put a stop to the practice. I saw a sign on Rock n' Rollercoaster that said "If you go through the single-rider line you WILL be seated separately." Maybe people were abusing the system?
Yeah, people 'abuse' that at any/every park where it is an option. We've had experiences where the wait was LONGER in the SR line, but it is usually a good bet. We like to ride together though, so don't use the SR lines much.

We're the same way. We're lucky enough to have ridden all the rides we want to ride, so if we need to skip something because of a long line, we're willing to do that. We'll just hit it again later when the line's shorter and ride together.

I wonder how often you actually do get in the same car/vehicle with the person you're with when doing the single rider line. I've never actually used a single rider line, so I'd be eager to run a few experiments!

Everest is a great ride for the single rider line, I do that everytime since Scrappy won't ride it.

Scrappy! Has she tried it at least once?
Every time we've done single rider we've ended in separate cars, but it's a small price to pay for saving an hour of waiting on line!

Is Single Rider generally the same thing as FASTPASS but you just don't need to have the pass? I mean..typically they go through the same entrance don't they?
Not on Everest, it is a separate line just for single riders. No guarantee that you stay together.
Yaahooo! 8 days and counting!

That's good to know! We will be single-ridering and Baby Swaping a lot on our next trip!
What rides have the single rider line? I know I've seen a list somewhere but can't find it. Mentioned here are RnRC, Test Track and Expedition Everest.
on our last trip we did single rider for RNRC and Test Track towards the end of our trip, when we had already been on the ride. On RNRC we did not sit together but we were in the same "limo." On test track we ended up in the same car but he was in the front row, me in the back. I am pretty sure both times were pretty random and coincidental. We watched people get split up left and right.
I've only used it once on Everest last year. My friends and I wanted to ride it a second time so I suggested using the single rider line. We rode at the same time but were split up. I ended by myself. I was put with a family of three. For some reason, they ended up not riding. The two seats in front of me were empty.
