We've had some good surprises in our trip reports.

LifeIsForLiving did several surprises
Teacherdrama surprised Caitiesus on their honeymoon with a scavenger hunt

RobynPrincess also did a great trip report recently, but the surprise was her husband getting laid off so you might not want to try to duplicate that one.

Don't forget to check out the Disney Food Blog's post on birthdays -- there are lots of fun things you can get in the restaurants.

Ordering a cake and having it as a surprise at a Table Service restaurant are a great fun thing!

Hi JustCar and welcome to WDWFG! I would definitely recommend the fireworks cruise for a b-day surprise. Its a little pricey, but I think its well worth it for that "WOW". Also just getting something sent to your room, from the Disney florist is nice too! They can come up with just about anything!

Fireworks cruise is also pretty easy to plan. It's a big deal that doesn't take a TON of preparation (other than managing to get a reservation, which IS challenging).

This might not be what you are looking for, but last year I was surprised with the Mickey & Pals Big Birthday Wish package. After we first checked in, we went out for a walk around the Boardwalk, and when we got back to the room, this is what I found!

What a fun surprise. What's in the box? Who was it from? The Mickey steps are wonderful!

It was a great surprise, from my partner. Here's a few more pics - inside the box was a plush Mickey and a special light-up lanyard:

There were also these:

And a small chocolate cake (hollow chocolate):

That's awesome. Although sometimes I wonder if we should be thinking more seriously about the ethics of locking Mickey in a box! laugh
