Board game fans?

As Disney fans, I figure some of you might be board game fans as well. Caitie and I recently have become fairly obsessed with board games of all kinds and learned a TON of new ones. Our favorites include Dominion, Ticket to Ride, and Settlers of Catan -- anyone play any of these, have strategies they'd like to share, have new games to suggest etc.?

Ah my friend, you may have opened a Pandora's box here. I play ultra-nerdy boardgames, although less now than in the past. Settlers of Catan is considered our gateway drug! laugh

If you're looking for a great complex, but re-playable game you can check out Puerto Rico. You can actually play it online (as you can with Settlers) to see if you like it. If you enjoy that I can direct you to tons of games that you might enjoy.

One simple one that springs to mind that is fun with two players is Carcasonne. You also might enjoy Lost Cities, which is a pretty fun card game.

We have played Carcassone -- it's all right. We played Infinite City last night which is a blend of Caracassone and Dominion - LOTS of fun. We just ordered a new game called Settlers of America that's supposed to be a blend of Settlers and Ticket to Ride. Looking forward to that!

I would love to learn Puerto Rico - I've heard it's fantastic.

Sometime we should play Dominion online, Brad!

You guys need to get together with my husband! He's a big board game fan and these sound like they're right up his alley. He's trying to teach me axis and allies, but the cats keep eating the game pieces so we can't leave it out for epically long sessions any longer Wink

You bet! There aren't that many good two player games. If you're looking for some good three player games Ra and Medici are a couple of my favorites too. Don't know if you can play those online anywhere.

Haven't played Ra, but I LOVE Medici! I've sworn I won't play it again though, since I've played twice and won both times. I don't want to ruin my streak!

Do you play on brettSpielWett?
