To all you lovely people who are going in the next few weeks before G & I are any of you eating at The Boathouse? If you are can you let me know what you think. I am reading a lot of negative reviews about quality/service/cost etc and have 2 reservations (we loved it last year) and am now concerned that standards have slipped and may be better booking elsewhere.

Ate there six months ago. We really like the atmosphere, but a bit loud. Our service was very good. The food choices where great but several of us had steaks that were average at best. I would steer away from them. It is pricey for what you get but again we liked the setting.
We had a lovely dinner there in July - I can't say anything negative about the food or the service. I hope the standards have not slipped, we are returning in Oct and bringing friends with us

It was great every time we have been there Sally-Ann and I have heard some excellent reviews lately.
Oh I know it's wonderful but there have been some really negative reviews from UK people and it has made me wonder. We have it booked twice, once for my birthday lunch and once for an evening meal. Last year it was the final place we ate we had an outside table, weather was perfect and view of fireworks. It was totally perfect.
