Make sure you eat something! I had many people tell me over the years that they never really got to eat at their wedding, and I didn't understand how. Once my wedding came around, I totally got it! There was so much going on, and so many people to talk to that by the time the dancing was supposed to start I had taken 3 bites of my food. I'm a lightweight on a full stomach, so it's a good thing I wasn't drinking that night!

I was one of those people! That's actually one of my biggest concerns in taking care of Becks in June. She's not going to want to eat and I'll have to get all Big Mama on her...
with my wedding, it was a buffet, and the head table was supposed to go first and get a head start and then go around and do our "hello's" after we eat, but they person at the hall let everybody go to the buffet at the same time. THEN they made the wrong type of chicken (only the wedding party and the parents knew it was wrong), so I got a late start on dinner too, and that didn't help. I was very set on chicken parmesan, and they made chicken marsala. Still put out the marinara sauce though...so someone didn't get a memo.

My wedding is in a month and a half and though I'm going to try to follow the tips, they're a little overwhelming, haha. My main goals are to a) not have a huge panic attack; b) not faint (so yes, eating something is definitely a goal, even if it's not at the reception and is in my dressing room beforehand!) and c) actually enjoy the day (at least as much as an introvert having a large wedding possibly can, haha!!). And then it's off to Disney...whew!

Becks' wedding is early and she's getting ready in our Villa. I think I'm going to have Earl of Sandwich cater in breakfast for the 8/10 of us that will be there. Eggs and Sausage will be much better than sweets in the morning, maybe some OJ and Mimosa's too. I plan on putting some sports beans in my clutch in case she needs a last minute boost before heading down the aisle.
We took our pictures before the ceremony, which was at 3, so on the party bus we had coolers with sandwiches and other snacks.

You had me there for a second Kristen, never heard of "Sports Beans" before. Just googled them.
Ditto on the eating. We didn't make people wait to hit the buffet till after the photos were done, and by the time we got our food my mother was nagging us to start visiting the tables. By the time we'd finished with that, our plates and the buffet had been cleared. And it was awesome Thai food made by one of the cooks at our favorite Thai restaurant, so I really regretted only getting a few bites of it.
If you're having a cocktail hour for your guests while you're getting your pictures done, be sure to stop by and enjoy a cocktail and some of the munchies you're paying for. We missed our entire cocktail hour and all I wanted was some of the fantastic spinach and artichoke dip. Four years later, I still think of that dip.
