Calendar - Picking your collective brains...

I'm looking for a calendar program that I can integrate into a website that I could put community events into, and even attachments. (Like a registration form for an event, or flyer or something like that)

At the same time, I'd also like to authorize a very limited number of people to add things to the public calendar as if they were me.

I'd like users to be able to just 'click on a date', or even do a search for events and have them pop up.

Not sure if it matters, but the website will be under it's own domain, and eventually on my own server. Not sure of the format yet, although we'll be using Wordpress for part of it.

I've played with Yahoo calendar and Google calendar, both of which could do some of what I want, but I find them to be awkward and subject to "not loading". I think I need something a bit more stable and professional.

Anybody have any ideas where to start?

Oh yeah.

The cheaper the better! silly

Thanks!

I can't help, but I'll bump this. Would this be a local thing for your community, or a wider Disney community thing? Also, is it the type of thing you could sell to other communities? Great idea!

It actually has nothing to do with Disney. It is for a 'community calendar' to use in our area for events.

I work in media, and we get inundated with event information that is sometimes months away. This would allow us to archive it so that we could look at it closer to the time that somethng is coming up, as well as allow the community to do the same.

Once we've perfected it, THEN we'll "Disney-fy" it! yay

Thanks!

Sounds like a great idea! I'd like to have one of those for our community as well.

Yeah, let me know what pros and cons you find MT. I've had use for such a product too and it'd be nice to have it in a platform I'm familiar with like Wordpress.

May take me a while. My Wordpress knowledge is limited, although I DO have the 'WP for Dummies' latest edition!
