So we are about 8 months for our upcoming trip in November. I couldn't book my home resort because the whole thing is full! So now its the waiting game and I have to wait another month to book. Do you think there will be something available? I'm really hoping for the Poly Villas or Bay Lake. But anything would do if its the only thing left.
Have you tried the resort availability tool? To see what other resorts currently have availability?

I got BLT at 7 months for September and May. SSR and OKW are always available. You should have wait listed in the meantime. The wait list has never failed me.
And as Robyn said use the resort availability tool.

Newbie here.... closing is on the 17th. h0ney227, I've had the same worries. Especially not knowing how it all works yet as far as actually making the reservations...
Is all of this (wait list and availability tool) on the DVC members website? I am IMPATIENTLY waiting on our member number so I can log in and poke around.

I already have a member number and I am wait listed for the Grand Floridian. Is just driving me crazy cause when I look at the avalibility tool there seems to be a lot of places already booked. And I still have to wait a month. Hopefully some of those people that booked the VGF actually want to stay somewhere else and will change it lol. And I would be fine with Old Key West if it was the only thing left. I just want to be able to go.

Honey, I'm betting some people will try changing over to the poly when they reach the 7month mark... Which we are thinking of doing... Though I'm now debating it as we visited the gf last week and I was reminded how much I love it.... Not sure the poly could ever match up... Will see

Colonel its November 4-9th then on to the Disney Dream. Its the Wine and Dine half, the crowd calendars don't seem too bad and my mom had no trouble booking at 7 months out on this past trip which was during the Princess half marathon. Robyn, did you see the Poly rooms? They are super pretty but I still like the VGF more!
No dates in mind yet Robyn... just wondering how it all works.

I have seen them! They are very pretty! I do wanna try them out but I dunno if I can give up the grand.... And I'm not gonna add in another room change as there's already 3 within our 3 week trip lol

I just checked Thursday for Nov. 6-13 and we could have at that time booked a studio at Poly, SSR, or OKW. I was waiting for OKW because it's fewer points, but it's not listed as having race transportation and I didn't have enough points for Poly, so I went ahead and booked SSR. I would expect that at least OKW and SSR will still have availability in a month.
Be good at something. It makes you valuable. Have something to bring to the table because that will make you more welcome. --Randy Pausch
