Carriage Rides--Where?

Would you suggest doing the Carriage Ride at POFQ or Fort Wilderness? Does anyone know if they're offered anywhere else?

Also, does anyone know the dates that they offer the haunted carriage rides?

I had a carriage ride at POFQ set up to take my Mom on in 2007. We got rained out gaah I want to try again in Oct.

We've done the Hay Ride at FW & enjoyed that, but I thought it'd be nice to try POFQ, esp. with my Honey.

Oh NO! sarcastic That stinks when your plans are ruined by the crazy Florida weather... How far in advance did you book the carriage ride?

We did the Hay ride last time and it was just us and 2 other people. (we did not know). The wagon looks like they could pack 20 in it on a very busy night.

It was very fun and relaxing but you spend most of the time on paved roads wondering around the camp sites. It was like a tour of an RV lot, in the woods.

No kidding? On one hand, that's a horrible waste of mula; on the other, I love looking at everyone's camp sites! I think it would all depend on what you expected it to be biggrin

We did the hayride on a Dec. trip, so the RV's were all decked out for Christmas. We sang Christmas Carols while we went & stopped at the beach to see the Fireworks (it was still Fantasy in the Sky back then) There was a pretty full load - I'd say about 20 people.

I booked the carriage ride probably 60 days out. I had it timed with the sunset. It would have been so nice. It was supposed to be me & hubby and my Mom & Dad. We wound up going over to Trail's End & having dinner over there for old times sake. Turns out my memories of TE are better than it is now. I don't know if it's changed or if it's euphoric recall silly

I would love to see Fort Wilderness all decked out for Christmas--I've never done that. I imagine there's quite a show mickey

And, I agree that TE isn't all that great now. I went over there to try it because of all the hype, and I just didn't get why people liked it so much. confused
