While the Disney Cruise Line has suspended all sailings until mid-December, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has extended the no-sail order for the U.S. cruise industry through October 31st, the same day as the cruise industry's self-imposed no-departure order.
DFB says that the CDC wanted to extend the no-sail order through mid-February 2021, but had push back from the White House and settled on the October 31st date. For now... because if there is one thing we have all learned this year is that the situation for the entire travel and tourism industry is subject to change on a moments notice.
I'll be honest, I would love to hop a cruise ship and sail off into the sunset right now but it's not going to be happening even after they reopen unless we see the same kind of massive capacity caps that have happened at the Parks and even more. Plus, I'm not sure I would want to get off the ship at a non-Disney port. There is just so much to think about, and consider when it comes to taking a voyage by sea.
