Celebrating with Disney Friends..

I'm not an adventurous drinker, unlike yourself!!! so I've not ventured into many WDW drinking holes! I've only popped into the bars of the resorts I've stayed at! :

Which are: mizners lounge- GF, I didn't like it! The bar at the Poly, I forget its name! That was ok, friendly staff! Then the WL bar which I really liked! Then this Sept we stayed at POFQ, I really enjoyed the bar there and even the tacky keyboard player!

So basically I'm easy! A few bottles of Coors and that's me merry!!!

Excuse me.. ..You would be surprised at how Quiet I am if you met me at WDW... ..Honest..I don't like loud music when I'am having a drink with new and old friends...The lounge at La Cava is perfect for a get together..Margarita's and Nachos..Now when it comes to music...That's a different story....

You don't get offended that easily! Loud music is annoying when you're trying to socialise! My OH has seen Rush live!

That's why I go myself now to their gigs..Here's myself at their first UK tour..1977....I'am the odd one out with the bad perm..LOL....My god that brings back memories..

La Cava can be really loud and crowded, plus not everyone can drink Tequila. I would opt for a bar that's more accessible (La Cava is only good if everyone was at Epcot that day or had park hoppers), that offers a wider variety of beverages, ample seating, and offers an atmosphere more conducive to conversation.

My ideal place is Top of The World (only an option for DVC Members) but the Wave Lounge at the Contemporary is really nice too. You could also go with a classic monorail crawl and it several around the Lake.

Kristen K., Please tell more about ....Top of The World. I sometimes travel with my brother and his family and they are DVC owners.

Mittens, all my talk and you realize 1 dirty birdie and I am done but, I LOVE to socialize and nibble. The Bellevue Lounge at the Boardwalk would be a great place to meet. You can get the drink of your choice and a few nibbles along the way. If it gets to quiet there is always action near by at the Boardwalk.

Just an option...

I would have to ditch the bar aspect and invite everyone to a campfire evening at Port Orleans.I think that would make a much nicer place for a get together

Thanks for your warm welcome...Now I think you are pulling my leg...Yee Haw Bobby...It was well known that I'am not a fan of this popular dude on the ivories..Great fun and the kids love him...He reminds me why I would never book a Butlins holiday camp...LOL..Now the dude playing jazz ( for the life of me,I can't remember his name ) at POFQ..I could listen to that all night.And I wouldn't class myself as a big jazz fan...
