Character dining for Adults

Hi, I'm looking for any advice or recommendations for character dining. I've never done one before and have wanted to for awhile. I'll be at Disney World in November for my honeymoon so I thought it would be a good way to celebrate. It'll just be me and my hubby (as we don't have any kids yet). Are there any that are better suited for adults and celebrations? I was wondering about Mickey's Backyard BBQ but I haven't heard any good reviews for it sad

I would not recommend the BBQ! That's more for kids. The food is BBQ buffet style, not very interesting. I would go with something like Cinderella's Castle, or Cape May Cafe (breakfast of dinner), or Crystal Palace for breakfast. There is also Tusker House. Are you more interested in seeing certain characters?

I like the classic characters like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald. Goofy is my favourite so it'd be nice to see him. I also like the idea of "all you care to eat", are there many like that?

Character dining is so much fun. Goofy is at Chef Mickey's along with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Pluto. I had dinner there last year but did not care for it. He is also at the Tusker House along with Mickey, Donald (you get your picture taken with him before you go into the restaurant) and Daisy. I had breakfast there and loved it. I also enjoyed dinner at the Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh and friends.

We loved the Tusker House breakfast! We went on our honeymoon last May and we loved it so much we're going back to have breakfast there on our next trip in August!

The Garden Grille in the Land in Epcot is a good one that not too many people think about. The characters are great and the food is very good and served family style.

Cape May Cafe is my favorite Character Breakfast, and it's more adult geared. According to DFB it will be undergoing a refurb July 9th - August 4th, 2012. I'm sure the spruced up diggs will be lovely. You can get cocktails in the morning at Cape May too, so I always have a Mimosa with the buffet.

There have been a couple of articles posted on the blog about adult character breakfasts too. Check them out!

I've been wondering about the Garden Grille. I was reading some reviews and it seems to be really good for the character interaction.

Did they do anything special for your honeymoon or acknowledge it at all?

I love doing character dining!!! I do at least one or two every time I go. I really am not picky about which ones but my favorite is def Crystal Palace because of the Pooh characters.

My husband and I accidentally did a character meal at Liberty Tree Tavern and had a great time! (We didn't know it had switched to that a few years ago!)
