April, when we opened our Chase account we had free checking, so we don't have a monthly fee. However we've been with Chase for more than a decade, so I'm not sure what the checking plans are like if you want a new account.

I'm totally switching to this debit card before my trip in October!
And Chase does have completely free checking...I opened up my account in March, and I have no fees whatsoever. Also, if you catch them at the right time, they very often offer a $125 reward for opening up a new checking account with direct deposit.
