Long time Disney Springs resident Cirque du Soleil has filed for refinancing bankruptcy protection as a result of extended closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cirque has been buoyed by a $300 million infusion from its investors to continue operations while productions are sidelined. No opening dates for Cirque productions worldwide are known at this point. Cirque is available at a reduced, undisclosed price for a half-dozen suitors, the majority of which have not been disclosed to the public. The company's ownership will likely take until Fall before it can be established.
