Club Level at AKL

I'm trying to plan a 2015 trip yay I'm considering AKL club level (renting dvc points). Has anyone had experience of this? What is the food in the lounge like? What are the views with club level. Any other extras that I should know about? I think I would want to stay in Jambo house. We have visited AKL and eaten at Boma and I love the resort but we stayed at WL last time which of course had the boat to MK as well as the buses ( I don't like to drive on the wrong side of the road laugh ), so transportation is a consideration. Thanks for any information.

my only advice is to arrange the points rental a fair bit before the 11 month window, I had to 'walk' my reservation and it still took a lot of hassle to get it. Good luck!

DVC on concierge level often books up in the first hour at the 11 month window because there are so few rooms. I've been lucky enough to be able to get into them twice. These are some of my favorite rooms on property.

All of the DVC concierge rooms are situated around the lobby atrium so it is very close to the elevator, restaurants, gift shop and pool.

My opinion is that the pool view is the best view from those rooms, it's a bit difficult to see the savanna because you have to go out onto the balcony and look down to have a decent view of it.

I'm usually up at least 2 hours before the rest of my family, so I enjoyed being able to go down to the lounge first and get coffee and a small bite to eat before we headed out for the day. I love the mini chocolate croissants, and there's an espresso machine as well as brewed coffee and juice. We used the lounge fridge to grab sodas to take back to the room and when we were there in the afternoon the samosas on the snack menu are awesome.

My favorite part of being on the concierge level is that even when you are DVC you get housekeeping and turn down service.

I didn't realize they were that difficult to book. The 11 month window is fast approaching so we probably don't stand a chance then. Oh well, lots of other room types and resorts to consider, I'll be happy in any resort as long as i'm at Disney mickey
