Columbia Harbour House

Many have recommended this quick service. What do you like the best there? I've heard their "New England Clam Chowder" is really good. Is it better than "Liberty Tree Tavern's"?

I either get the fish fry if I'm hungry, or one of their salads if I'm not. Or maybe even a fish fry AND the salad to share if I'm really hungry.

It isn't just the food. I like that the upstairs seating area is often not as busy, with its own condiment stands. Plus, it has a restroom as well!

Cool, thanks ZZ. We may eat a bite here for dinner if we're not too stuffed from our lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. For some reason I feel very drawn to Liberty Square this upcoming visit. We like this area anyway mainly for the Haunted Mansion but feel like there are some overlooked treasures here.....

We love the place. Grab a tuna sandwich, head upstairs where its quiet, grab a window seat and watch the World go by.

I've eaten there twice. First time I got the fried shrimp platter and loved it. Second time I had the broiled salmon - the salmon was dry and underseasoned and the accompanying broccoli was bland and boring. So if you want to eat healthy and also enjoy your food, don't go there.

We ate there in October. Hubby had the shrimp, and loved it. I had the tuna sandwich, and thought it was very nice. As Zz said, the upstairs is a little oasis. When we were there, the downstairs was just jammed, but when we went up, there was only one other family there. And they were recharging a phone while they ate - there was a plug right near the table, so they could do two things at once! awesome

Agreed. It's either #1 or # 2.

crazycatperson, I have had the salmon several times, and did find it like you describe at least once. Other times it was just awesome. Guess it is inconsistent.

I had a kid's portion of salmon for lunch at BOG that was also dry. Must be hard to get it right. mickey

Yeah, it's easy to overcook salmon. But since you've had good salmon there in the past, perhaps I'll give it another chance. (Or just get the shrimp.)

If we're not too stuffed from our lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern we will definately grab a bite here for dinner! Thanks everyone! I love the decor inside. Looks like you've stepped into a Herman Melville novel....
