Hi everyone! I finally have a pretty set plan for my short April trip to Disney for Flower and Garden.
Going on this trip will be little old me and 2 of my friends from work, Nadia and Kerry. While I thought they had NEVER been to Disney, I was wrong, they both have but it's been years and they really don't remember much about it.
I have planned and planned and planned and kept them updated and asked for input the whole time. They are both very excited and have said they couldn't find a better person to go to WDW with!!!
We were originally leaving on Friday after work, but our doctor has graciously allowed us to take off that Friday so that we aren't driving all night. Sometimes, he can be really nice So far plans are as follows.
Thursday - we work out of town this day so once we get back, Kerry and I will hit Target for road trip snacks. We will head or separate ways home. We have instructed Nadia to spend the night with me since she is ALWAYS late. Can't trust that Italian to be on time ever lol and we don't want a late start to the trip. I have a road trip play list already made up. Right now we are at 93 songs with a ton of Disney ones mixed in! We are also having personalized shirts made. We have all picked out our shirts and we are each getting the princess of our choice on the front then "Yea We Do! 2015" on the back. Yea we do is a catch phrase of ours that came from a patient of ours and we say it or a variation of it ALL THE TIME so we have made it the theme of our trip.
Friday - Get up early and hit the road. We will be stopping to pick Kerry up since her house is on the way. Our plans are to stop in Jacksonville for lunch. We have it narrowed down to a couple places. 4 Rivers, The Blind Rabbit, Maple Street Biscuit or Metro Diner. Decision will be made soon for this. After lunch it's on to Orlando! We wil l be checking into POP hopefully around 4 or 5. I have a very bad feeling about Orlando traffic on a Friday... We have dinner ADR at Sanaa (I have to have that bread!) for 6:50. We will leave from there and head to the Poly for Lapu Lapu and maybe monorail to GF and Contemporary. We have promised ourselves to take it easy on the drinks this night as we have a LONG day Saturday!!! No monorail bar hopping...
Saturday - Get up early so we can all get ready in time to be at MK for Rope Drop. We are going to stay a couple hours here checking things out then off to Epcot. (This will be my first time park hopping) We plan on not having breakfast as we will be hitting all of the F&G food booths. I have FP picked out for the Character Spot, Soarin and Spaceship Earth. Kerry gets horrible motion sickness so we are going to take it easy on the rides. I have promised her Soarin will be ok... I hope it is. After getting our fill and hanging out in Epcot all day, we will head back to MK. EMH this night until 2AM!!!! We want to see fireworks then just walk around and ride what we can until they have to escort us out. ***alternate plan*** Hit AK first thing in the morning for a couple hours then head to Epcot. Still thinking about doing this. Kerry wants to see it, not really sure it will be feasible to do this but we will see... Must do - pics in front of castle, dole whip, Grand Ma slush and Croissant Doughnut
Sunday - hopefully be up and ready to go for our breakfast ADR for Kona at 9:35am. We will be leaving this day so we will need to be up and have the car packed before heading out. Going to stop at DTD/DS to browse around a little before hitting the road for home Again with a stop in Jacksonville for lunch if we are up for it.
Short but sweet trip that I plan on packing a lot into. I want a real bang for our buck and I want them to love "MY DISNEY" since they don't understand why we go so much! Any input on the 3 different parks would be great. I am thinking we should stick to MK/Epcot because of monorail but I really want to hit AK... Also, if you have been or know, is F&G as crazy packed on the weekends as F&W is?
