Contemporary or Fort Wilderness Pools..

Your opinions on this one please..Because of the main pool at WL closed during our stay, we have free transport to either of these resort pools ( legal pool hopping ) We are not into themed pools with slides or shutes..Just a chill out dip..Which one would you choose.?...Also we are not taking our beach towels this year as we don't intend visiting any of the water parks.Do these other resorts have towels we can use.?..

They both have towels I believe (contemporary certainly has). I really like the contemporary pool, we are pool hopping over to ft wilderness on our upcoming trip (DVC members can hop to certain pools) as it looks lovely. I'd give them both a go if I were you Smile

Thanks for that RobynPrincess....Will do..I wonder if the hot tubs are still working at WL and if our DS is allowed to go in them..He will turn 17 when we are there..There is a hotel we stay in Glasgow where you have to be over 16 to go in them..

Disney has NO adults only pools or hot tubs that I am aware of.

I would head to the contemporary myself, it's lovely. As for hot tubs at Wilderness Lodge, there is one at the DVC pool as well as the feature pool, so he should be able to head on over to that one shouldn't he?

We were just at WL on our recent visit. When we checked in the CM told us that if we wanted to go to the Ft. Wilderness pool, take the towels from our room as they don't provide towels at the pool.

Fort Wilderness may not provide towels, but every other resort that we have ever stayed at has towels at the pool.

We've camped many times at Ft. Wilderness and I can tell you the pool "ain't all that". It is decent, but the pool area at the Contemporary is much nicer, IMO.

There is a nice quiet pool at Fort Wilderness and a hot tub as well. Whenever we stayed in the cabins we found this pool was perfect for us. There were quit a few times when we were the only ones swimming since most people went to the pool with the slide.
