Coronado springs room/section recommendations

Looking for some insight on where to request in Coronado springs....it seems like the cabanas are the best. Has anyone stayed in the ranchos? They look so far from everything. originally I wanted to request the casitas but apparently I am not able to because they are preferred rooms.

My fiance and I stayed at POFQ last time so we are going from a very small to very large resort (we aren't sure what to expect)

Thanks in advance

We aren't huge fans of the Casitas, because that's where all the conventioneers are. I personally love the Ranchos, but they are far away. We always have a car, so it isn't really an issue, but if you're walking it's a pretty serious trek. The Cabanas are great because they're right next to all the hammocks, which we love. They are DW's favorites.

Hope that helps.

I love the cabanas, but I've stayed in Ranchos and Casitas and there are pros/cons to all of them. You should decide if you'd rather be close to the main pool or the lobby. If the lobby is where it's at for you, request cabanas 9B. If the main pool is your pick, choose cabanas 8A or ranchos 7B.

I LOVE CSR -- you're going to have a great trip! muchlove

I requested cabanas 9b (but it seems like that is a highly requested area so I'll have to keep my fingers crossed)
We would definitely rather be closer to the lobby....we will probably only swim once or twice.

Neither of us have any health or mobility issues so it's really just for convenience sake that we'd like to be close to the lobby....a little extra walking when I am picking somethig up at the bakery wouldn't be a bad thing if we do end up farther away:)

We stayed in the Ranchos last year. I really enjoyed the walk to El Centro every morning. It is such a beautiful resort. At night it seems so romantic when its lit up. Enjoy your stay wherever you are. After walking in the parks that little walk in the mornings seems like nothing. It just a warm up for the day ahead.
