Thanks, everyone! We're so pleased it all worked out.And "addonitis:" oh, yes, I can feel it coming on already. Someday we'll want to bring friends to the Food and Wine Festival, and we'll need a two-bedroom unit. It's just a matter of time.

Also bought BC as a resale. Was too impatient to be on DVC's waiting list. First home resort, BLT purchased directly from DVC. Stayed in a BC two bedroom in June and loved it!! Next month will be able to make reservations for 2015 F & W!!

Yesterday our DVC member cards and the points book arrived in the mail. All we need is the activation code to get online, which I assume will be sent separately. If not, I'll call about it. And then we'll be playing on the DVC website and thinking about our first stay as DVC members.

SO cool! I'm thrilled for you.
Addonitis has got us in its grip. We just put an offer on 240 more Boardwalk points; the offer has been accepted and now we wait for Disney's right of first refusal. We also wait to close till after the sellers use their 2015 points this fall, but we have no more WDW trips planned till autumn 2016, so that's no problem. And we haven't even stayed DVC using our current points, although we've got that first stay booked, Grand Californian this fall.

I'm not gonna lie...I read everyone's posts on DVC and while it sounds so tempting I just don't think we visit enough. And the whole process sounds so scary!!! Resale vs non-resale and "right of refusal"...that just SOUNDS terrifying!!!
I totally get the add on disease! I want BW points but do not "need" anymore.....
Yeeeeehaw! Disney passed on right of first refusal! By the end of the year we'll have a total of 290 DVC points!

Went back and read your very first post. It's crazy...in less than one year you accumulated enough points to get a two bedroom AND get a a studio for just the two of you on two separate vacations. Awesome!
Blame hubby, it was all his idea. So was our upcoming 25th anniversary DCL cruise with a weekend at Disneyland after. I doubt I'll ever get him signed on here, but otherwise it's pretty obvious he's one of us now.
