Day 4: The Not-Quite-President's-Day-Trip-Report

We got up early yet AGAIN this morning for breakfast at Crystal Palace. Neither of us were very hungry after the feast at California Grill last night, but it was a beautiful day and we wanted those ever-popular "empty" pics at Magic Kingdom. We jumped out of bed and walked over to the park just in time for our reservation.

(Just a little note here: I found it really interesting that they keep the lights on the castle all night. I kept waking up in the middle of the night and happened to notice that those lights were on every single night except one. I know they do maintenance in the park all night, but it's probably not necessary to keep the spotlights on the castle for that, right? And I wonder why the lights were off that one night... confused )

We paraded with Eeyore and Piglet and ate our (very light) breakfasts.

Everyone's Favorite Breakfast Rodent

After breakfast we rode some stuff (inc BTMRR) then grabbed a FP for Space Mountain before heading back to check in with work (we both had conference calls at work scheduled today).

BTMRR!

Everyone's favorite treat after their breakfast rodent (alas...we were too early)

After checking in at work, we went to Epcot for some more World Showcase. We visited Morocco, France, England, and Canada. We saw the rare sight of Cinderella someplace other than her castle--she was signing autographs at the International Gateway. Also snapped a picture for SoloFriendly of the seating area next to the UK pavilion--a good place to snag a table and watch Illuminations. From there, it was off to DHS via boat (which took an oddly long time--turns out we had JUST missed one pulling out of Epcot. We should have walked.).

Found where they post the nightly schedule of movies at the Beach Club Beach

Seating Area next to Rose & Crown Pub in the UK Pavilion (NOT part of the restaurant, so you can grab a table first come first served)

After DHS it was back to the room to rest up, check in with work again, and then go back to the Magic Kingdom to use our Space Mtn fastpass and ride around on Splash for a while. We watched Wishes as we left the park biggrin

Splash Mtn

Then we headed to the Contemporary gym for a quick workout before catching a monorail to 'Ohana for some monumentally bad food. This place has gotten worse and worse and it might just need to come off of the "every time" list! sad

Stay tuned...

Thank you so much for thinking of me! That looks like a great place to stop and have a beer and watch the fireworks. Also thanks for the picture of the movie listings at Beach Club. Now I know what to look for if I decide to do a movie one night.

Love the pics and love the TR. There is really nothing like an empty MK; it really makes you feel that the place exists for you and you alone, if only for a few brief minutes. muchlove

And I just realized that pictures of Mickey waffles in the morning before I've eaten make me very, very hungry. wink mickey

That's true. We love it and try to book an early ADR every trip.
