Disney Cruise Line recently announced that the spiral-bound Guest Travel Booklet that has always been mailed out prior to your cruise will be changing. The sizable pamphlets have long been a waste of (rather expensive high quality) paper for guests living in a digital age. With pre-cruise details and documents available online, mailing the package has become a cause for complaint. Disney heard the feedback and is streamlining the pre-boarding documents down to one sheet of paper and two luggage tags per person, much like you get with Disney's Magical Express. The boarding document will have your pertinent information listed, along with instructions on finding more detailed documents on the DCL website, and a reminder to download the DCL Navigator app.
I'm not sure what they will do for families unable to access online information. While they are few and far between, they do exist. Hopefully there's a back-up plan. Personally, I'm thrilled to have one less bulky item to stick in my travel bag.
