I'm starting to feel very left out that I've never been to Castaway Cay.

When you talk with folks who've been on DCL, it will probably be one of the top 3 or 4 things they mention as highlights. The private island experience is like everything else that Disney does. It is done to the 10th power of quality.
I've heard the figure as $50 million that Disney spent to dredge the docking area so that they could be the only cruise line that can literally dock at their island experience. That, the ability to take the characters onto the island, the layout of the island, and that they built a "history" (the history of the island, of which to this day I don't know what is real and what is Disney Imagineered) makes it a unique experience.
Having said all that, we MUST get you on the island, Bradley!

Do they have internet there?!?!
Do they have internet there?!?!
Well, they have it on the ship, but I doubt that you can take your laptop on the beach and log on to here.

Phone for Emergency's, but leave the laptop at home. You can write a trip report when you get back. Unless your a reporter or a journalist, then just wait till you get back on the boat.

I seriously think that no phone/no internet for more than a day or so and I may have a breakdown. Am I really one of those people?
Just figured I'd post a little info about wireless on the ships--rates, etc.:
