Rumor has it that the flag corp, called Sbandieratori Di Sansepolcro debuted in Epcot today. I am hearing that it is indeed a flag throwing show.
If anyone who is there and can get pictures or video that would be amazing!
Shows take place on the raised stage in the piazza at 11:20 a.m., 12:10 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m., 4:20 p.m., and 5:00 p.m.

Reception wise from what I've heard, it ranges from good to meh but more favorable reception compared to the lumberjacks. My opinion is that the first half of the show isn't really all that impressive but the second half is when it really starts going for the better.

Oh yay! It is the kind of flag performance that I had been hoping for, and actually a little better than I was expecting it to be. I'm happy with this one. 
There were a few wobbles in the show, but I'm sure those will lessen with practice.
Seeing one of these flag competitions/festivals has always been on my "If I ever go to Italy" bucket list, so I'm really happy that the art is being represented at Epcot now.
It is an authentic part of Italian history. So I'm down for anything that is authentic. Not positive I would watch an entire show but it is for someone.
That would be soo much cooler with lightsabers instead of flags ..... just saying

I had the same thoughts Kristen. I'm interested in seeing it and will catch it for sure in a couple of weeks!

Thursday we had lunch at Tutto Gusto, and the drums and trumpets drowned out the music playing inside the restaurant. Watched the next show after lunch, which was OK, but I don't need to see it again. That said, much better than the noise from chainsaws and smell of gasoline in Canada.
That is pretty cool. Hopefully we will be able to catch it in Feb!
