That's so cute! I hate that I have to inform people that they aren't supposed to feed the ducks even though there aren't signs every where reminding them.

Yeah, I know what you mean Mandy. I never feed them, but I really enjoy watching them and taking photos of them. I also REALLY like the fact that any animals on Disney property are cared for and will be taken to the Animal Kingdom medical facility if they are injured. At least, this is what we were told on the Backstage Safari tour. This is a great tour btw.

Basically, an animal on Disney property is a happy animal. awesome

Here's a feathered friend that joined us for a bit as we walked around World Showcase. biggrin

Baby ducks grow so fast. In May a bunch of babies were hatched and by August they were twice the size!

Awwww.
Well, if you were an animal and didn't have work constraints, wouldn't you choose to live at Disney?
I would!

One day when we were at animal kingdom, I had a duck stand at my feet and give me the same look my dog gives me when she is begging for food. Then he started pulling at my shoelace to get my attention. It was so funny because he would look me in the eye then look down then look up at me....just like my dog hahaha. I didn't give him any food though since it is against the rules. He eventually went on to someone else but did I ever get a look from him. silly

Me too! Ken and I would stop and watch the ducks as much as possible. We both think they're adorable.

We have ducks in our back yard, but I always stare at the ducks in MK and wonder what it would be like to live there. The ducks have it so good there. Lucky Ducks laugh

What lucky ducks! muchlove What a very nice morning routine!

I was very amused by the boldness of those little cuties!

What my husband and I were surprised by, was the numerous bunnies and squirrels - SQUIRREL - at the resort (POR)- then it dawned on us - no dogs around to chase them! biggrin

I remember an AK cast member telling us that those white crane looking birds in a lot of the habitats were "crashers" - native to Florida, and they drop in to hang out and chow down. Smart birds! They have folks coming from all over the world looking at them as if they were the main attraction. laugh
