Disney Florist--experiences?

Has anyone used Disney Florist yet? They've got a couple of new "decorate your room" packages, which are expensive, but look fun. Have you ever had anything delivered to your room?

Never bought anything myself, but when I was the meeting planner at three conventions I received flowers on several occasions.

Everything was absolutely beautiful.

Once while at the Coronado Springs, we received a Mickey Basket containing all kinds of stuffed animals and chocolates and stuff. Not sure if that would have come from the florist or catering but it was great.

The few times I've actually looked at stuff like that, it seemed pretty steep.

Steep is right! I was looking at those new room decorating packages and those things run around $300!!

You can get a few things for under $50, though that's about as cheap as it comes.

I've heard all good things, but I'm not sure that it's cost-effective.

Sounds like the standard Disney approach. Great, but not cheap!

Yes I stayed at the GF in Feb and they decorated the room for us and it was fab! We have ballons and a mickey blanket, frame, and bunch of other little things. I think its over $250 on disney florist. It was very nice!

I've heard of this package. It's one of the new ones, right? Would it be something DW would like on our October trip? Price is a bit steep, but we're planning to do something special anyway...

Hey Bali, I've used the Disney florist on 3 different occassions & always had GREAT experiences with them. Once was for Mother's Day & we were having a big family dinner at Spoodles. I had the Disney Florist do a bath basket & deliver it to the restaurant. When we checked in for the reservation I just told the manager to bring it out with the Mother's Day cake we ordered. It was gorgeous and I am pretty sure it was right around $50.

The other two times we're when friends of ours were going on their honeymoon in WDW; we sent one couple a nice fruit basket in a take-home red Mickey head basket & sent the other couple a snack bouquet inside a little Disney cooler. Both of those were around the $38. price mark.

One time I ordered a family fun package and it was a bag filled with goodies. It was really nice but yes a bit pricey. When we went in October I ordered a sparkling cider and chocolates cheese and cracker kind of thing. It was suppose to be a surprise and delivered to our cabin however they called, my husband answered and they wouldn't deliver it because they thought it had alcohol in it. I was rather ticked because when I ordered it the woman told me she would put a noted stating it was a non alcoholic beverage so they would deliver it to our room and be there when we arrived. It was a lovely package though ...I have flute glasses and a mouse ear tray and basket to keep.

On our last trip together ( Sept. 2010) Jan told the girl at the check in that she was celebrating life because we just found out she beat cancer for the fifth time. We went to our room then out to eat. When we got back to the room there was a large Mickey cup with a flower arangement and a card for a free meal and show at Hoop-Dee-Doo Review. Even the gratuity was covered.
As I look back now I am filled with affection for Disney knowing that was our last time there together and what it meant to us.
Joe

That's why to me It's not the Disney Wonder, It's the Wonder of Disney. And to me that about sums it up. Corny but true.

That's amazing, Joe! They truly go above and beyond.
