Disney gift cards

Look what I got for teacher appreciation week! My class's parents know me so well! We usually don't do much with Disney gift cards, so I was wondering where I can use them - or not use them. Do Disney restaurants accept them? I know there are some stores/restaurants that are not Disney-run so I assume I cannot use them there? Anyone have any knowledge they'd like to share? We're going tomorrow for Mothers Day and I am so excited to buy something for myself, we go often and don't usually buy "stuff", since we are not really on vacation like others. I really like Scrappy's hidden Mickey shoes, I'm going to check out the Vera Bradley collection, and I've seen a couple purses I like. I'm looking forward to shopping to buy, not just look!

Wow! You're lucky. I got....nothing! haha

I am pretty sure any location at WDW accept them. I got my mom one for mother's day to spend on their trip in September.

I got Disney gift cards for teacher appreciation too! They are accepted anywhere on property I think. Not sure about outside owned restaurants, but if they are on property like DTD I bet they are good. Have fun spending them! I used mine for a set of those nice porcelain Mickey plates. Smile

That's so nice of them! Most stores and restaurants should take the gift cards. If you're not sure, just ask and the nice cast members should be able to give you an answer.

I have never had a problem anywhere in Disney using my gift cards. The DH and I each get one every year for our birthdays from my sister. What a nice gift. You need to buy something really amazing with them. Purses are always a good choice! awesome
