Disney has hurt planners!

Caitie and I are trying to figure out our ADRs for our trip -- 90 days out is Monday. However, trying to figure this out without knowing Extra Magic Hours is almost impossible! We can't know which days we'll be where without knowing when the hours are since we ALWAYS take advantage of them. For example, if we want a late Ohana, we want it a night we don't care about EMH (such as for Animal Kingdom).

Anyone have any inside scoop on the hours for the beginning of August? Based on June and July we figure MK will be Sundays and Fridays, and Epcot Tues and THurs -- but the other two seem almost impossible to figure!

This is a truly crappy thing, but, alas, they never change it. I know that what most folks do is gauge planning based on the hours for the week before their vacation as well as the hours from the same week of their vacation the year before.

So, in addition to looking at the hours for the last week in July, check out the
Park Hours and EMH for August 2008

Other than that, you might have to call and change your ADRs once you get the hours, but there shouldn't be THAT many to change...the info you have from last year and July of this year should help a lot... I hope.... awesome

No, do you have a link? Every sight I've gone to (including Disney's site) still has only listed through July...

Here's a link to the MK calendar--just change the month to August:

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/magic-kingdom/calendar/

To get the rest of the parks, just hover over "plan" at the top and move your cursor under "park hours" to the park you want. Get the "calendar view" and choose the month of August.

Thank you! (Though weirdly the Animal Kingdom ones aren't up yet!)

At least everything else was pretty much what we figured it would be!

You also get Splash Mountain for morning EMH, which is at least something of a replacement for missing out on Space Mountain.

Yeah, though to be honest, we seldom use morning hours. We like to sleep Smile

If this board is any indication, it's clear why extra magic hours in the morning are so good. No one on here gets up in the mornings!

It's kind of a paradox, though, isn't it? On the one hand, you want to get as much out of Disney as you can -- on the other, it's vacation and sleep is good!

Exactly! That's why I like picking a few things you know you HAVE to do, then chill out and take it slow for the rest of the vacation. If you think you have to do everything, you end up feeling stressed, guilty, and exhausted. Sleeping in is GOOD. Especially when it's guiltless biggrin

THe funny thing is we took the cruise afterwards to "relax" but we're kind of planning Disney that way!

Nothing at all wrong with a little extra relaxing. You guys will likely need it, right--you've gotta jump right back to work when you get back!

That's what I love about Disney. I know that I'm going to be back there sometime soon so if I don't feel like doing something, I'll just do it next time.

Well, Caitie will have to go right back to work. I'm a teacher - I'll have till September Smile

OK - I might as well ask here - how do you put those quote box things in a message?

In the upper right hand corner of the message you want to quote, there should be the word "quote" that you can click. Once you click it, the "reply" box will come up with the message already quoted inside. Just write your reply beneath the "quote." Does that make sense?

Usually we start the trip getting up early then as we start to get closer to the end we tend to start sleeping in .
