Disney Hollywood Studios Busy in Evenings?

Is it just me or is DHS a particularly busy park in the evenings, especially during Extra Magic Hours? On our last trip we just kind of gave up on doing DHS at night. Is it just because of Fantasmic, or have you guys had that experience as well?

I get the same impression, Brad. I only tried to do 1 EMH evening there & it was so nuts that I've never tried it again.

I thought maybe I just hit a bad night or it was just me or something. Is it always that bad?

It's always been bad for us, too. But that park always seems busy even when it's not really that crowded. I think the layout is just bad, so even a small crowd feels overwhelming.

It also doesn't help that the only three rides we ever want to ride are always mobbed!

I think that might be an issue for us too, Annie. We don't do a ton at MGM - mainly RnRC & ToT for DS which are always mobbed. I'm assuming TSM will be as bad or worse.

Yes! I noticed a couple weeks ago when I was there for a long weekend that it was much more crowded than normal. It seems the reasons were because of Toy Story Mania and the American Idol Experience. The lines there were VERY long. Two new attractions in this short of a time will do that I think.

Good point. That has to be contributing. Has American Idol been drawing the kind of crowds that TSM has? Either way it makes a lot of sense that having the 2 newest high-profile attractions is bringing the crowds.
