Ugh! I so thought my nightmare with paying off this trip was over. I was going to pay it all off today and now the TA is telling me that my balance is $118 more than what he told me last time.

gaah gaah gaah gaah gaah gaah

Seriously... I'm starting to wonder if there's going to be any joy associated with this trip at all.

So, I have to figure out how to rob Peter to pay Paul so I can just get this paid off and done with. I think my family is going to be eating Ramen noodles for the week but at least this will be taken care of and maybe I can move on and get excited. Maybe.

Never using a third party TA again... ever... period.

My trip in 2009 started with a TA. Then when I started talking to CM's about this and that I realized I was getting wrong info on things and mixed messages on other things. So I canceled the TA after a couple of weeks of this and booked directly with Disney the next day. I go directly with Disney every time now.

I'm trying to figure out how he could have told you the wrong amount in the first place. The balance owing is always very clear, whether it's on your screen or the TA's screen. Wrong information is just so.....wrong!

I hope you have a wonderful trip to make up for the aggravation - sending pixie dust your way.

I don't know what's going on, or how these mistakes keep happening, all I know is that he's lucky he is a friend because I would be raging at his boss otherwise. My Father in law always says to never do business with friends or family, and I'm feeling like I should have listened. I feel like I'm between a rock and a hard place.

The experience has really been unacceptable.

Angels - So with you, going right to Disney next time.

Thanks so much! I can use all that I can get right now. I have been so stressed out and I need a vacation so badly.

Sorry to hear this Kristen. Friend or not, sounds like someone is either trying to get over on you, or really doing a seriously bad job. I would have to say something to someone, at least so it doesn't happen to anyone else. $18 bucks, okay , I could see that, but $118, no way! Did you get a receipt or anything the last time, or an e-mail or something showing what you owed?

Yes, never do business with relatives or friends! (Even if it costs more)

thanks for the info guys! Another Q....I am an annual PH, but if I book a resort without the tickets, would I get to make payments? I love that option...did not know you could do that. Do any of you have experience with resort only booking?

I am bummed that I cannot book a resort and do free dining if I am not buying a ticket...am I mistaken on that?

Hi,

There is a way to get the free dining when booking a resort. If you check in on an eligible day AND pay for a 2 day park pass ($377.00 total as of today for 2 people), you will each get free dining every day for the length of your stay. You can save the 2 day park pass for a year when you don't have an AP, or give it to friends, or even sell it!

I did this for my 14 days during the Food/Wine Festival. We will each get 14 sit-downs, 14 counter serves, and 14 snacks all for a total of $377.00--and we'll each get a 2 day park pass to use at some future date.
