A Disney Scavenger Hunt

Dear Becks534.... stop reading this and go to a different thread right now. You heard me! Shoo shoo shoo!

Okay, everyone else!!

Have you ever planned (or taken part in) a scavenger hunt at Disney?

I'm currently in the process of pulling one together as an activity for a group to play in June for Becks' Bridal Shower/Bachlorette/Party-Thingy. It will take place on the MK Monorail Loop and focusing on finding free things or taking pictures at the monorail resorts. Starting at the Polynesian, the players will have 1.5 hours (maybe 2?) to collect as many points as possible before having to meet back up at the Polynesian.

The list below is what I have to hunt for so far. It's a combination of disney & wedding scavenger hunt ideas that I found online. What do you think? Would this be a fun activity? Can you think of anything else to add? How much time to do think is reasonable for this?

1. --secret because she's probably reading -- from Random Couples (2 points per message)
2. Pressed Penny From Each of The Three Resorts (3 points each, 1 bonus point for getting all 3)
3. Get Leis at the Polynesian (5 points)
4. Get a DVC (Disney Vacation Club) Sticker (5 points)
5. Picture of team In front of the Magic Kingdom Main Gate (5 points)
6. Picture of team In front of the Grand Floridian Bird Cage (5 points)
7. Picture of Team in Front of Contemporary Mural (5 points)
8. Picture of Team in Front of Polynesian Tiki (5 Points)
9. *Obtain a "I'm Celebrating" Button (5 points) or a --secret because she's probably reading -- (10 points)
10. Get a Resort Map for each Resort (10 points each)
11. *Picture of a couple who --secret because she's probably reading -- (10 points)
12. *Take a Picture of a Cast Member who --secret because she's probably reading -- (20 Points)
13. How High Can You Pile Your Dole Whip? (Tie Breaker - Tallest Combine Team Height Wins)

That sounds like so much fun! I think an hour and half is a reasonable amount of time...you don't want to give enough time that everyone will easily be able to get everything and it's always more fun when there is a sense of urgency to the hunt!

Awesome idea! Sounds like fun. I can't think of anything else I would add.

I would think about a penalty for anyone who returns late. If you set a time limit of 1 1/2 hours, maybe something like 5 points deducted for each 10 or 15 minutes late, just to hit up any stragglers!

I also think it's funny that you kept parts secret because we all know Becks is reading!! Hahaha.

Yeah but I got so many things I could put in the "-secret because she's probably reading" sections , but I can't put them in because she's probably reading!
