Disney Short Subjects

I posted in a survey on FB today about "favorite Disney shorts" and I thought I would pose the same question here, except that I love so many of them, let's do it as a top 10 list. Here's mine in no particular order:

1. Pluto's Christmas Tree
2. Donald in Mathemagic Land
3. Once Upon a Wintertime
4. Motor Mania
5. How to Have an Accident at Work/ How to Have an Accident in the Home
6. Reason & Emotion
7. Paperman
8. Mickey's Christmas Carol
9. Donald's Crime
10. Working for Peanuts

Ok, that was harder than I thought it was going to be. I left the Pixar shorts off my list even though I loved Day & Night, Luxo Jr., Tin Toy, etc. It was hard enough to narrow the field to only 10 without including the awesome Pixar short subject library.

Do the Silly Symphonies count? If so I can't decide between "Santa's Workshop" and "Cookie Carnival".

Does anyone remember the short where the subject was "changes that could be made to enhance the experience of highway driving"? One of the ideas was to have a "sleeping" car holder where if the driver was tired, a truck with a hook would pick him up and continue driving on the same road while the driver slept. Another was to have a food truck pull up alongside the driver and serve him food so he never had to leave the interstate. They also demonstrated how roads could be constructed to match their city name or nickname. One had an exit ramp system that looked like a Cloverleaf and one was a Star.

I remember seeing it on a Martin Luther King Day special in the late 80's that was hosted by Ludwig Von Drake (let's be real, the only reason that I remember it was because I taped it off of the TV and I probably watched that tape at least 50 times as a child) and included Motor Mania (Goofy), How to Have an Accident (Donald) and other great shorts. Since it's not a character-driven short, I'm not even sure how to go about looking for it!

The silly symphonies were great. Also all of the How To's with goofy are awesome as well.

Now are we talking old shorts? Because the new Mickey Mouse shorts on Disney have been awesome.

My favorite is called No Service
