Disney World Resort Online Check-in!

Good question... I'd love to be able to get the perfect corner room by the pool and lobby.

I found out about this recently and have been thinking about it a bit.

The best thing I can think of about this feature is that when you get to your resort you get in a separate line for those that have checked in on line. This doesn't sound like much, but when you think about how everyone getting off your DME bus is going to make a bee line to check in, it might be nice to get in a shorter line for those who planned ahead.

You still have to go somewhere and pick up a key right?

Yes, once you get to the resort you go to a special line for those who have checked in on-line. You still have to show ID and complete the check in and get your key. I guess it's kind of like a FastPass for resort check-in!

So far, that's the benefit I see as well. I'm interested to see how this evolves, how Disney will add to the program based on guest feedback, and how the online check-in will tie in with online resort reservations and online dining reservations.

I'd love to see Disney's projections for how this will streamline their workforce and significantly increase their bottom line!! The automation is a long-time coming and a great idea for everyone involved (except the folks who will inevitably lose their jobs )

Sounds neat. I'll have to try that next time.
