We're planning on going to the 24 hour day, Rock your Disney side, this year
We know it will be crazy busy that weekend, but my husband gets 2 days off of work and my birthday is May 25. So that's a 4 day Disney birthday weekend for me
Have a great time, Annie! I would love to do this. DH would hate it, so I'd probably be going solo! We're going to miss this one by 4 days...
Be good at something. It makes you valuable. Have something to bring to the table because that will make you more welcome. --Randy Pausch

As a CM all I have to say is,"Whhhhhhhy!?!?" These things sound good in theory but are so hectic and crazy the vast majority of guests don't have a good time.... *insert sad crying here*
If I were there, I'd hit the park when it opened, leave to sleep midday when the crowds were high, then go back and stay up till 6 am in the park.
But I won't do it. I'm not paying airfare and holiday lodging rates and braving holiday crowds just to stay in the park overnight.

Thanks alicemouse
It's going to be a little claustrophobic with the added 24 hour party, but we are used to memorial day weekend at WDW. We've gone to WDW on memorial day weekend the past several years, because it's always so close to, or on the day of, my birthday. and whenever my hubby asks me what I want for my birthday the answer is always "I want to go to Disney world!"

We are already crying and questioning our sanity since the announcement.
has anyone heard if this will be broadcast live like last year's monstrous all nighter was?
No have not heard yet, probably won't until right at the last moment.
My darling wife thinks we are going for the 24 hour event. Little does she know that i booked a paid for a 3night getaway on the Dream. While i'd love to visit the parks for this event when i priced it out vs the cruise the cruise was only a tad bit more. With no crowds and some fun pampering. I'm sure to catch some flak because it's literally 2 weeks before our 7 night cruise.
i hope those of you attending have a great time! i really wanted to try and go but the thought of those crowds was too much.
Member of the 6 castle club and working to pay for my next Disney vacations: 1/5-10/18, September 2018 for my 50th and 2018 the year of Disney cruising.
As it turns out, this is the last day of our trip to celebrate daughter#3's HS graduation. Not sure how I'll handle it, but the younger members of our party are stoked!
