is it really controversial? i've never met anyone who likes it.
I guess I'm one of the people who can take it or leave it, I have to try it on every visit but then again I try all the different flavors and I find myself hoping that there will be some new flavors that I have not tried before.
Beverly is one of those tastes that I realize I could probably "learn to like," but I don't have to!
I willingly bring newbies to have them try it, however.
We have yet to find a Beverly fan!
I'm not a big fan, myself, but I don't run to the trash can and spit it out! I picked "indifferent."

I think as long as I'm prepared for it, I'm indifferent. The first time, however, when I was "introduced" to it and not prepared, it was an unpleasant experience.
Yuck, Yuck, Yuck!

Ok, What the heck is Beverly?
Oh no! You haven't experienced Beverly yet? It really is a right of Disney Passage. Go to Club Cool at Innoventions. They have samples of Coke Products from all over the world. Beverly is from Italy. Try it sometime. Everyone should try it at least once.
I picked I hate it. But I must not hate it that much because it's a ritual to have a Beverly every trip
Ok, we have been meaning too try it that and when we were there in December the place was packed (really have no idea why- beginning of December- maybe Mousefest? ), so we skipped it. We will have to try this September
If it's the one I'm thinking of then YUCK!!!! Actually I only remember liking one or 2 of those flavors. Glad I drink American soda.

I can't imagine it being anything but an acquired taste. It's awfully bitter to appeal on the first try. Of course coffee tastes pretty gross too the first time I think, but I've managed to come around on it.
Was the one you tried REALLY bitter?
Also should we have put a "spoiler alert" on this thread so people could continue to use it as a prank on unsuspecting first-timers?
Yea I believe it was, but it's been 11 1/2 months so I don't remember too well, I do remember is was nasty. Ask me again in 3 Weeks (After I'm back) and Ill let you know.
The only one I can really stomach is the lime-y one. I can also drink the watermelon one, but I don't love it! I had a friend who used to get a huge, large-sized cup from Electric Umbrella, go to Club Cool, and fill it up with watermelon soda

There was one (I think it was from Japan) that was like sprite with a kick. I really liked that one, I would buy it. I wish they sold full bottles of the good ones.
Yeah there is kind of a sadistic twist to that place:
Welcome to drinks you either don't want or can't have!

They might actually sell it in the Japan pavilion. They have a section in the back with drinks and food form japan...
Get it while you're getting your Pocky!
i haven't had it for a few trips. i think i'm going to make it a point on my next trip.
is it really controversial? i've never met anyone who likes it.
No thank you!!!

Try my husband...he LOVES it! I guess the Italian in him is used to their bitter sodas. Lol.
I actually don't mind it, but I much prefer the watermelon soda and the other sweeter sodas!
He'd be the first one here. This is apparently not a pro-Beverly environment here.

The watermelon soda is great, actually, now that you remind me of it!

I liked it, actually!
And I see that y'all mention pocky above - I had a fantastic time yesterday in the stores, just looking at all the different snacks!
I didn't think it was that bad either Lizzy. Sort of just tasted like seltzer to me.
I didn't think it was as bad as I was expecting. My friends and I tried it in November. They had never been in Club Cool so I had us try the Beverly together. We all thought it has the after taste of baby aspirin.
Ah, Beverly. I actually don't mind it.
I realize that this revelation, paired with my admitted indifference to zebra domes, may be grounds for 'reeducation" but ol' Beverly reminds me of the aquavit I have shared with my Danish cousins.
It is certainly an acquired taste, but . . . I'm all in for Beverly.
If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.

YUCK! When my friend and I were at the World of Coke in Atlanta I tricked her into trying it, since I already knew what it was like from Disney. She told me that she would never trust me again. Although I found a few more sodas at the World of Coke that I wouldn't mind Disney putting in Club Cool.
