So I'm not really that interested in the SuperBowl this year, but it's always kind of fun to see a big event. Do you guys watch? If you do watch, do you care about the outcome? I know a lot of people just like to see the commercials.

We watch, but mostly for commercials. Last year we had friends over and talked during the game and watched the commercials.
This year, I just want the Steelers to loss. Their QB is SUCH a jerk. I know he wasn't convicted for the rape charges...but I wouldn't put it past him. One of my college friends was his biggest fan, saw him in a club and went to tell him he was an amazing QB. He looked at her and said "Don't bother talking to me, unless you are going to sleep with me".
Yeah, I hope they lose. And he gets sacked REALLY hard.
We'll watch, and we'll make a party out of it with some good food. I have a slight preference for Pgh, but I don't really care one way or the other. We're much more into college football.
We will watch it but mostly for the commercials now that my beloved Patriots are out of it through some weird phenomenon!

We'll watch but don't care about the outcome.
It hold no interest for me at all, but a surprising number of brits do stay up 1/2 the night to watch (due to the time difference) and come into work the next day looking very much the worse for wear.
I can only please one person per day. Today isn't your day... tomorrow doesn't look good either.
The best part about the Superbowl is that football season is over and my family can stop talking about football at dinner!
Hello..I love the Super Bowl..but mainly because I get to make all these dips that I've been saving up all year to make. Not because I care anything about football.
On the other hand.. Dave is a HUGE NFL fan..his team was like the crappiest team in the league this year so he's been cheering for Green Bay all season along with his beloved Panthers since Aaron Rogers was his Fantasy QB.
I LOVE Superbowl!! My team (the San Diego Chargers) let me down earlier than normal this year but it's still football so that's why I love it! Go Green Bay!! I cant stand the coach of the Steelers.. so smug so.. snarky. lol
it's sad that football is empty, but when it ends, I just move on to Basketball... then when that ends, I focus on Baseball. then after baseball.. football... and so goes the circle of sports.
SuperBowl...............................Whats the SuperBowl? Is that a super size bowl of Chili from Wendy's. No I dont care about. Not a football person, although thats all I here about at work.
We're big football fans and will definitely watch. Luckily, I like both teams this year, so I don't really care who wins. We'll see who I actually root for once the game begins. I never know until then!

I'm actually a little sad for Dallas that we're getting such a bad rap over the weather. I've never seen it this cold in the 15 years or so I've lived here, particularly not in Feb. What's even worse is because it doesn't get very cold we're terrible at dealing with it. The whole front page of ESPN is about how bad of a decision it was to hold the Super Bowl here.
Ummmmmm, what is a SuperBowl? hahahaha

SRSLY! And how inane to blame Dallas for cold weather...as if you could do anything about it. Clearly a slow news day? Or just an attempt to clog up the search engines with key words like "Super Bowl" and "snow" and "Dallas." Silly ESPN.
Hi,
Since Super Bowl XLVIII (48, in 2014) will be held in New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, those who want the Super Bowl held in cold weather will get their wish.
The first Super Bowl, played in January 1967 in the LA Coliseum between the NFL's Green Bay Packers (35) and the AFL's (the leagues merged in 1970) Kansas City Chiefs (10), was called "The NFL-AFL Championship Game". Legend has it that the name "Super Bowl" came about because one of the NFL executives' daughters had a toy called a "super ball", a rubberized, marble-sized ball that bounced as high as a house.

I didn't care much before it started, but I found myself rooting for the Packers. I just don't care much for "Big Ben."
